Le Perigord (the traditional name for the Dordogne,) is unarguably the culinary capital of France and gourmands will enjoy Autumn menus stuffed with wild mushrooms and game, truffles, ripening fruits, nuts and chestnuts, pumpkins and squashes,  and a superb selection of cheeses.

Or maybe you'd like to watch a grape harvest or visit one of the chateaux of Bergerac, Monbazillac, or Pecharmant, to share the excitement as the potential of this year's vintage is assessed.
